What fly rod should i get??? (beginner)?

ok so i need i rod that is like 8 or 9 feet long, probably a 5 weight, medium action, and all that stuff. but i can’t find one cheap like that. i found the cabelas three river rod and reel combo (http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/product.jspproductId=711745&rid=10&WT.tsrc=AFF&WT.mc_id=k68563#productChart) but thats it. so can anyone suggest a good one or tell me if the cabelas one will be good enough for a beginner fishing on rivers in western wyoming?

It will be OK for starting out. You don’t mention how much money you want to spend. The Lefty Kreh and White River series rods that Bass Pro Shops sells are decent rods for the money. If you want to step up a little from there, try Sage. Their lower end rods are an excellent value. It really is hard to beat the package deals that people like Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shop sell for value and price. I have caught as many or more fish an my lower priced rod and reel than I have on my more expensive stuff. It’s not always the cost of the gear, it’s how you use it.
