Starter Fly Fishing Kit
Where I can find a Fly Fishing kit, books, etc?
My dad wants to fly fisheries for Christmas, but do not know anything about it. He has never done before and want to learn. Price is not really a concern (up to $ 200 at least). Where I can go to find some information about what to get someone who wants to start doing this? (Direct links to supplies ordered online can be greatly appreciated.)
You did not say what state live in, but there are a number of books by local authors called "Where to Flyfish In ______" (states like CO, Wyoming, Utah, Wyoming, FL, etc) to give exact directions to your father, flies to use, and the bar type (wt) to start their tours. Fly fishing is often about "getting away from everything" a book on where to go is a great start. Ps Bass Pro and Cabelas have a shit team of fly fishing. It is better to use a local fishing shop and obtain information an owner who does not know the sport someone who is "filling" in the camping department.
