Is a pet hedgehog work for me?

I had many pets in my life including dogs, cats, fish and rabbits. Currently I have a small notch Yorkshire Terrier dog who hates small animals and loves to hunt. But I really want a hedgehog. I could to a room that my dog can not enter and I would try to keep calm. My mom is really picky with pets and IDK if she wanted to say yes so I should help to convince with cute / Nice facts. What do they eat? What do they live? How much do they cost? Are they legal in the Toronto area of Ontario?? I'm 14 so im still at school, which is apparently good because they sleep all day. I know it will take work but I'm ready for it. In addition, I would keep it in our basement, which no one can hear, even on the main floor and my dog will never come

If all these people are right to be noisy hedgehogs. I have one and it is very strong, I used to sleep with a buzzer but if the hedgehog wheel running all night just to replace it. You can get used to. You need to buy a hedgehog from a breeder, you can buy one in a store for pets, but they are more likely to be susceptible to diseases, like puppies to pet stores. If you buy from a breeder, they are expensive, $ 200 - $ 300 for good. I got mine for $ 100 because it was already as 6 months and the girl that races moved to the university. Mine is very friendly so there is nothing wrong with it. Here your basis of initial costs and recurring costs (and btw the things I listed below are what I have for my little Hedgehog) Hedgehog: $ 100-300 Cage: $ 40 http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753281 Bedding: Approx. $ 10 per bag (recurrent cost me my bags, take about a months on average) http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2755138 wheel: $ 17 http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp? ProductID = 2753360 & lmdn = Product + Type There are 3 different sizes, I think I'm the wheel is larger, but I'm not sure bolus: $ 2 http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp ? productid = 2752726 Water bottle: $ 12 http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753357 There are bottles of water cheaper, but I would get a better one, I am a cheap at first and it was flowing water continuously, it flows, but not much. Igloo: $ 8 http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753266 Food: $ 5-10 per month, I feed my hedgehog quality cat food high. Do not get the cheap kind, because it can be harmful to the extra stuff: Toys-Extras-cage-litter box (a hedgehog may be increased if you're trained for this, even if they are not as reliable on the use of litter as cats are) ^ ^ all these things can be found at PetSmart ^ ^ Also hedgehogs are legal, in Toronto, as far as I know. If you have more questions about hedgehogs send me an email: They are very expensive sportschic_2010@yahoo.com to get first but once you have all the basic needs of your interview would be about $ 15 per month, so it's not too bad. I hope your parents get you one, they are pretty cool:)
