Fishing Green Light
I just checked my ph in my 33 gal and it seemed alittle too green and too much baking soda now and now what?
That I had to put half a teaspoon but put almost a full teaspoon and now my CV is arggggg blue .. I put some drops in depressing and is better but still alittle blue I do not want to shock or kill fish with drops too much should I let my tank PH adjustment is as time goes on more drops or should I try tomorrow or something? thanks
STOP, do not mess with the ph. Do not place chemicals, including baking soda in your aquarium. Start doing small water changes of 20% at this time and do every day for 2-3 days and then increase the amount to 30% a few days and then 50% every two days for 3 times in real time on a schedule of 50% every two weeks or every week and you'll be fine. Contact your local water department and find out what the pH and hardness of the water and get fish that meet these parameters. If you are PET your local store that specializes in fish and ask if the fish they have in their local aquariums are in the water you know you'll be fine. Unless you are trying of raising a specific fish and the need of some water parameters do not mess with the water.
