Alaska Fishing Lodges At Reasonable Prices?
I am planning for Fly Fishing trip to Alaska, please suggest any good Alaska Fishing Lodge at reasonable price??
I would suggest for your first time to go to Alaska by taking the inland passage cruise and have all the food and lodging be covered (I did this twice) and right now the costs of cruises are way lower than ever before. I went on line and searched for guides in each port the ship stopped at longer than half day. I found on line guides who knew his neck of the woods. I always found others (they wear fishing tee shirts) and as I did they did very good on the excursions and never once was one anything close to a bum trip. They always thanked me for getting them on big fish too. I caught silver salmon, king salmon, pink salmon, ling cod, halibut, arctic char and grayling. It runs about $400.00 for the excursions to go it alone. But if you start working it early on board the sip you can find 3 more anglers on board the cruise ship to offset that $400.00 cost and it makes it $100.00 per person. (on the ship, their fishing excursions for the same thing was (last time was ten years ago) right at $250.00 per person) and their guides are the vary ones that you can find on line and they take four people out as well. That’s a 150% price higher than if you do it yourself. Great times, great fun, great fishing and always great food and entertainment on board ship.
