Backpacking Fishing Pole Case
what to bring backpacking? (food wise)?
I am going backpacking in a couple of weeks, and where i am going, i plan to make base camp near the lake that the trail is on. I am taking my Fishing Pole, so i will plan on catching my food. But just in case what should i bring as a back-up. Something not to heavy, and not a lot of maintenance.
take rice, just portion it out into baggies or get the pre-bagged kind. also canned oysters, sardines maybe pick up some MREs from an army surplus store,
Also I would advice beans (and as the person above said beef jerky) need some stuff with protein in it. Just in case you find yourself not catching anything.
